NZ Coach Approach and Leadership

NZ Coach Approach is a philosophical approach that promotes athlete-centered learning. The philosophy gives ownership of the learning to the athlete through creating awareness, responsibility and self belief. It aims to create independent, confident and motivated athletes able to coach themselves.

This FREE one-day workshop presented by the New Zealand Academy of Sport South Island focuses on the ‘How To’ of effective coaching. Already proven through New Zealand’s snow sports coaching and training industry, this workshop will give you tools and methods for how to apply the above philosophy.

This is the first actual course/module on the CDP that you attend in person. However, don’t expect to be sitting around listening to some old guy barking on about “the coaching methods in my days” – this workshop is interactive, interesting, well-presented by well-established international coaches and, most importantly, it’s fun!
