Sports First Aid
As a coach it is expected that you have a current first aid certificate. At the Entry-level Coaching stage you must attend the one-day St Johns Sports First Aid course.
This course is appropriate for coaches, managers, parents and other individuals who are involved with sport in some capacity. Its focus is on emergency first aid for the effective treatment and management of sporting injuries. This course has been produced by Sports Medicine New Zealand, ACC Sportsmart and SPARC.

Generally these courses are run in cities around New Zealand. You may attend any of the Sports First Aid courses St John run around the country, however you must have the certificate before completing the Entry-level Coaching stage and being awarded this qualification.
